2 passengers is recommended as it offers passengers optimal fishing space, comfort and leg room. With 2 passengers there is no tangling of lines and i can provide clients with individual attention. On larger boats it's often a mess of lines and everyone jockeying for position. Not on my boat! i have purposely stayed with a smaller boat so i can cater to your needs and keep you in the water. Can't catch fish unless your line is in the water!
Sorry, no infants. Only service dogs may be brought on board.
Cash or credit card.
Gift Certificates are available.
Striped Bass and Shad bite is WIDE-OPEN!! I have some open dates. check with me for availability. Book now while the action is HOT!!
Salmon run gets going mid-August. Peak times are September thru mid-November.
Booking is generally for a full day of fishing; average 6-7 hours depending on conditions. If we find the fish and it's a great bite, we can be back and limited out at the dock by 11 am! With a slow morning bite, I usually pull the boat to shore in a nice shady spot; break for lunch and resume fishing early afternoon. The good thing about the Sacramento River is that it is a big river with a large volume of water and new fish are constantly passing by on their way upstream. River knowledge and utilizing sonar helps locate the fish as they are on the move. If they won't come to us, we will keep moving until we find them!
Each day is different....how long we stay out there is up to you and the fish!
THINGS TO BRING:
1. Current CA Sport Fishing License and appropriate stamps. Licenses are NOT available to purchase onboard.
2. Sunscreen/insect repellant
4. I suggest dressing in layers. Cool mornings and very hot afternoons!
5. Bring Food/Drinks/small cooler...stay hydrated...drink plenty of water! Arrangements can be made in advance to purchase food/drinks.
6. Have a large cooler w/ice on hand in your vehicle for fish when we get back to the dock.
7. Don't forget to bring your good luck!
Please call me if you have any questions. I am available by phone during the evening hours. I have been told that seeing BIG fish can be intimidating to the beginning angler. I understand! I cater to all levels from zero experience to those with many years of experience. I can tell you there really is such a thing as "beginner's luck"!! Nothing to worry about if you are inexperienced...I will guide you thru the entire process; provide instruction leading up to you hooking a fish and coaching you as you reel it in. Nothing like the adrenaline rush when the fish hits and you feel the power of it bending the pole and taking line!! When i yell FISH ON!...Hang on to the pole!!!
My goal is to provide a FUN, safe and rewarding experience for you. I will do my best to put you on the fish!!
